Data audit log

Transparent notes on where firm data comes from, how often we refresh it, and how to double-check the numbers we publish.

Data sources

Firm rules, account sizes, profit splits, platform fees, payout channels and promo codes are collected from each firm’s public website, help centre and published terms of use. Where a firm is an affiliate partner, we may also cross-check disclosed offer terms against the live checkout or partner dashboard. Community reports (forums, social posts, payout screenshots) inform safety context but never silently overwrite official rules without a human review. We do not scrape private account dashboards or personal trader data.

Update frequency

Core firm specs (splits, fees, withdrawal methods and challenge rules) are reviewed about twice a week. High-impact changes — payout freezes, fee hikes, new account sizes or closed programmes — are prioritised as soon as they are publicly confirmed. Trustpilot and similar reputation signals refresh on a longer cadence (roughly every two weeks). News articles are published on a separate daily pipeline and are not a substitute for the firm profile audit.

Change-log format

When a material field changes, we record: • Date (UTC) of the review • Firm slug / display name • Field(s) touched (e.g. profitSplit, platformFee, payoutMethods, challengeRules) • Brief note of what changed and the public source used Minor copy fixes and typo corrections may not produce a separate public entry. Material payout or fee changes are reflected on the firm page and, when relevant, called out in News.

How to verify firm data

1. Open the firm’s official pricing, FAQ or terms page and compare split %, fees and payout windows against the PropFXLab firm profile. 2. Run the same account size and example profit through our Calculator and check that the modelled take-home matches the published formula (split → platform fee → withdrawal cost). 3. For promo codes, confirm the code still appears on the firm’s own checkout or partner landing page. 4. If a number looks stale, email contact@propfxlab.com with the firm name, field and a link to the official source — we treat corrections as priority reviews.
